Every business has a beginning.
Ours began with a simple observation.

Back in 2010, Poonam Mishra’s father was working with Tata Motors. Being close to the automotive and manufacturing ecosystem, he saw something that many businesses struggled with — India had tremendous manufacturing capability, skilled people and strong suppliers, but finding the right supplier, at the right quality, at the right price, and at the right time was not always easy.

There was a gap between what businesses needed and what Indian manufacturing could offer.

He saw an opportunity to bridge that gap.

So, in 2010, he took the first step and started working in the domestic market, helping businesses source products and connect with reliable manufacturing partners.

There was no grand beginning.

Just industry experience, relationships, persistence and a belief that good manufacturing deserved better opportunities.

And then, the next chapter began.

Growing up around this business, Poonam Mishra witnessed that journey closely.
She saw the relationships her father built.
She understood the challenges manufacturers faced.
And, more importantly, she saw something bigger.

If Indian manufacturing could create value for businesses within India, why couldn't it create the same value for businesses across the world?

That question became a vision.

Poonam took the foundation her father had built and began looking beyond domestic markets. She started building international relationships, understanding global buyer expectations and creating a more structured approach to sourcing, manufacturing, quality and supply-chain management.

What began as a family business slowly evolved into something much bigger.

Today, under Poonam Mishra’s leadership as CEO, Catalyst Sourcing helps global businesses discover and work with capable Indian manufacturers — from supplier identification and product development to quality control, manufacturing coordination, logistics and delivery.
